Pekker-1.7.0.msi. It installs per-user and sets Pekker to run at startup. - Pekker appears in your system tray. Hold Right Alt to dictate into any textbox — or open Settings from the tray to pick the Copilot key or a custom shortcut.
- Using local transcription? Open Settings and click Download / warm Parakeet once to set up the local model. Prefer a hosted model? Choose an OpenAI-compatible API and paste your key instead.
Requirements
- Windows 10 build 17763 or later — Windows 11 recommended.
- Self-contained installer — no separate .NET runtime needed.
- For local Parakeet: Python 3.11, with an NVIDIA GPU recommended. CPU mode works, just slower.
- For hosted transcription: any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (OpenAI Whisper, Aqua Voice Avalon, Groq, self-hosted faster-whisper) and your own API key.
